1. PM Modi has said that he is looking forward to attending various programmes in Ernakulam in Keralam and Tiruchirappalli in Tamil Nadu. PM will attend the Golden Jubilee celebrations of Akhila Kerala Dheevara Sabha, a body working for the welfare of fishermen.

2. The Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi approved extension of Jal Jeevan Mission up to December 2028 with an enhanced outlay of nearly 8.70 lakh crore rupees.

3. The Election Commission of India (ECI) has said that its primary objective is to ensure that all voters in West Bengal can participate in the upcoming Assembly elections in an atmosphere free from violence and intimidation.

The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board has taken a major step to maintain the sanctity of the upcoming Direct Recruitment-2025 written examination for sub-inspector (civil police) and equivalent posts. The board has issued a dedicated email ID and WhatsApp number for citizens to report any information related to paper leaks or fraud in the upcoming exams which are scheduled for March 14 and 15 across the state.

10. In West Bengal, results for five Rajya Sabha seats have been declared. Following the election process, Babul Supriyo, Koel Mallick, Rajeev Kumar, and Menaka Guruswamy of the Trinamool Congress, along with BJP candidate Rahul Sinha, have been declared winners and they received the certificates.

National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD), in collaboration with the Gates Foundation and Dalberg Advisors, has launched the National Climate Stack Innovation Challenge to strengthen India’s climate resilience framework for rural regions. The initiative aims to build foundational technological layers of a National Climate Stack that will integrate diverse climate datasets and enable more effective climate intelligence for agriculture, rural finance, and public planning.

15. Indian Oil Corp Ltd, Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited and Bharat Petroleum have said that steps have been taken to enhance LPG production and prioritise its availability for domestic consumers and essential non-domestic sectors such as hospitals and educational institutions.

1. The Supreme Court has asked the Election Commission of India and the Government of West Bengal to provide full logistical support to judicial officers involved in the ongoing Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls in the state.

4. The Delhi High Court issued notice to all respondents, including former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, on a plea filed by the Enforcement Directorate. The court listed the matter for further hearing on March 19 and observed that it would pass an appropriate interim order in the case.

5. The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) has withdrawn a social science text book part II for the 8th Grade which contained Chapter IV titled The Role of Judiciary in our Society.

1. Indonesia has entered an agreement ​with India to procure ‌the BrahMos missile system, its defence ministry spokesperson Rico Ricardo Sirait ​told.
In ​2023, BrahMos, a company co-owned by ⁠the Indian and Russian ​governments, told Reuters it was ​in advanced discussions with Jakarta on a deal worth $200 million to $350 million.
