delhi continues to reel under heatwave records

1. Ram Navami celebrated with religious fervor and enthusiasm in different parts of the country yesterday. The festival marks the birth of Lord Rama, the seventh incarnation of Lord Vishnu. Prior to Ram Navami, Hindus observe a fast for nine days (Navratri) leading up to the festival.

2. Ministry of Panchayati Raj will be celebrating the Iconic Week from tomorrow to commemorate Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav (AKAM) as a Jan-Utsav in the spirit of Jan-Bhagidar.

Arunachal Pradesh is ready to make aviation history on April 12 when light transport aircraft will be operating to promote regional connectivity in the northeast.

7. *DELHI* :. Delhi reeled under a heatwave for the fourth consecutive day on Sunday with the India Meteorological Department predicting similar conditions for the next two days.

16. *UTTAR PRADESH* ;: The construction of the Ram Janmbhoomi Temple in Ayodhya is in full swing and will be completed by December 2023, Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra General Secretary Champat Rai said.

17. *WEST BENGAL* : Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) busted an illegal drug supply chain in Kolkata and arrested four people on Friday. NCB raided a godown of accused, identified as Minagur Rahaman, who is allegedly involved in retail sale of psychotropic substances, and recovered injections, cough syrups and capsules.

1. US-based crypto exchange Coinbase has disabled the option to buy cryptocurrencies using UPI method in India.

2. Federation of Automobile Dealers Association (FADA) said electric vehicle (EV) retail sales in India witnessed a three-fold jump YoY from 1,34,821 units sold in FY21 to 4,29,217 units sold in FY22. “Total EV sales had stood at 1,68,300 units in FY20,” it further said.

Kashmir Inspector General of Police (IGP) Vijay Kumar on Saturday said that 45 terrorists have been killed in Jammu and Kashmir since January this year.A Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) commander was killed in an encounter with security forces in the Sirhama area of Anantnag district in Jammu and Kashmir,

5. A senior leader of terrorist organisation Lashkar-e-Taiba, Hafiz Talha Saeed has been notified as a terrorist under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967. Hafiz Talha Saeed is a son of Hafiz Mohammad Saeed and head of the cleric wing of Lashkar-e-Taiba.
