1. Pakistan had attempted infiltration at 36 locations from Leh to Sircreek last night by using around 400 drones. Indian armed forces shot down many of these drones using kinetic and non-kinetic means. Colonel Sofiya Qureshi of Indian Army said that Pakistani army violated Indian airspace several times over the entire western border with the intention of targeting military infrastructure.

2. In Punjab, armed forces have thwarted multiple attempts by Pakistan to target some locations, including in Pathankot, Jalandhar, Amritsar and Bhatinda last night.

3. The Centre has asked all states to give emergency procurement power to the heads of the civil defence authorities in case of an emergency situation. Director General of Fire Services, Civil Defence and Home Guards Vivek Srivastava wrote to States in this regard.

4. The Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann said that the state government has decided to purchase nine anti-drone systems, which will be deployed in six border districts of the state in coordination with the Border Security Force to keep a vigil on narco-terrorism.

5. Central Government empowered Chief of the Army Staff to call out every officer and personnel of the Territorial Army to provide for essential guard or for supporting and supplementing the regular army. The powers were given to Army Chief under Territorial Army Rule 1948.

6. The Indian Armed Forces gave a befitting response to the Pakistani attack and unleashed India’s very own “Iron Dome” Akashteer Air Defence System (ADS) along with S-400 Sudarshan Chakra ADS to foil Pakistani plans of targeting Indian civilians.

7. Indian Navy has initiated targeted operations in the Arabian Sea against multiple Pakistani targets. This development comes in the wake of a series of aggressive actions by Pakistan, including attempted missile strikes on Jammu and Kashmir and drone attacks in other parts of India.
