10. ISRO successfully conducted two hot tests of the Gaganyaan Service Module Propulsion System (SMPS) recently on 3 July 2025, at its Mahendragiri facility. The tests validated propulsion system performance under simulated flight conditions, marking a major step toward India’s first human spaceflight mission.
11. India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued orange alert for heavy rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms over Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Vidarbha for the next three days. Heavy to moderate rainfall is also expected over northern and eastern parts of the country till 15th of this month.

1. An economic offender, Monika Kapoor, who was involved in an import-export fraud and was on the run for over 25 years, has been extradited by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) from the United States.
2. In Hyderabad, Telangana, HYDRAA on Tuesday cleared illegal structures on a public land in Hyderguda, Rajendranagar mandal of Ranga Reddy district, restoring over 1,094 square yards of space intended for community use.
3. A Delhi court today extended the judicial custody of 26/11 Mumbai terror attack mastermind Tahawwur Rana till 13th of next month. The development came after the National Investigation Agencyfiled a supplementary chargesheet against Rana.
4. In Chhattisgarh, twelve Maoists surrendered before the police in Dantewada district today. District SP, Gaurav Rai said, a total reward of twenty-eight lakh rupees was declared on nine of these Maoists.
5. The Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) has amended its earlier directive to enforce a phased ban on refuelling End-of-Life vehicles. In a statement, the CAQM said that all end-of-life vehicles will be denied fueling from 1st November 2025 in Delhi, Gurugram, Faridabad, Ghaziabad, Gautam Budh Nagar, and Sonipat. The ban will be extended to the remaining NCR districts from 1st April, 2026.

Global terror financing watchdog, the Financial Action Task Force (FATF), has said that e-commerce platforms have been used in the procurement of materials for a terrorist attack in India. This was revealed in the terrorist attack in Pulwama in Jammu and Kashmir and the Gorakhnath Temple in Uttar Pradesh.

1. 11 people were killed and five others injured early Tuesday morning after the 40-year-old Gambhira Bridge over the Mahisagar River collapsed in Vadodara district, sending four vehicles, including two trucks and a Bolero jeep, plunging into the river below.
2. Two Indian Air Force pilots lost their lives when a twin-seater Jaguar trainer crashed near Churu in Rajasthan on 9 July 2025. The aircraft had taken off from Suratgarh air base for a routine mission. The IAF confirmed the tragedy on its official X handle.

1. Russia offers Su-57E & S-70 Okhotnik-B Combo to India for Advanced MUM-T: Russia has proposed a strategic package for India, offering the Su-57E stealth fighter alongside the S-70 Okhotnik-B unmanned combat aerial vehicle in a manned-unmanned teaming configuration, including technology transfer and support for India’s AMCA program.
2. India is advancing its strategic partnership with Russia by exploring the establishment of a maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) facility for the S-400 air defence systems within its territory.
3. Defence Secretary RK Singh has confirmed that India is moving forward with plans to procure US-made Javelin anti-tank guided missiles (ATGMs) through a combination of emergency procurement routes and long-term negotiations.
4. The successful user trials of the Extended Range Anti-Submarine Rocket (ERASR) from INS Kavaratti mark a major advancement in India’s indigenous naval defence capabilities.The significance of ERASR lies in its role as a fully indigenous anti-submarine weapon system, developed by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) in collaboration with key Indian defence laboratories.
5. The Indian Navy has signed a contract with M/s Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), Bengaluru for the implementation of National Maritime Domain Awareness (NMDA) Project towards strengthening maritime and coastal security. The contract was signed in the presence of VAdm Tarun Sobti, Deputy Chief of the Naval Staff, and Shri Manoj Jain, Chairman and Managing Director, M/s BEL.
The project will bring in an integrated approach to data collation, analysis and information sharing amongst the various maritime stakeholders.
