1. Directorate General of Civil Aviation, DGCA has issued a show cause notice to the accountable manager of Air India over the two incidents of passenger misbehaviour that occurred on its flight from Paris to New Delhi.
2. A Goa-bound flight from Russia’s Moscow made an emergency landing in Gujarat’s Jamnagar at around 9.49 pm after Goa ATC (Air Traffic Control) received a bomb threat. After landing, all 236 passengers and crew members were deboarded safely.
3. Telangana state government employee was found charred to death inside a burnt car in Venkatapur village of Medak district on Monday. The deceased, Dharma Nayak (48), resided and worked in Hyderabad as a senior assistant at Telangana Secretariat.
4. The Delhi Police on Monday told a local court that the CCTV footage has shown the accused in the Kanjhawala case getting down from the car but they continued to drive even after knowing a woman is trapped under the vehicle.
5. Chanda Kochhar, the former MD and CEO of ICICI Bank, and her husband Deepak Kochhar, who are accused in a loan fraud case, won a reprieve on Monday when the Bombay High Court ordered their release and said their arrest by the CBI was not in accordance with the provisions of the law.
The CBI had arrested the duo on December 23, in connection with the Videocon-ICICI Bank loan case, and they are presently in judicial custody.
6. Television actor Tunisha Sharma was in contact with a man named Ali on a dating app and was in his company between December 21 and 23, just before her death, lawyers of her co-star Sheezan Khan, arrested on the abetment of suicide charge, told a court in Palghar in Maharashtra on Monday.
