Yesterday, intervening in the discussion, Law and Justice Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal said, Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the Electoral rolls were conducted several times during the Congress regime, but now the opposition is raising questions over the exercise.
11. IIT Bombay’s Society for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (SINE) launched India’s first incubator-linked deep tech venture capital fund. Called the Y-Point Venture Capital Fund, it has a total corpus of 250 crore rupees and aims to support India’s deep tech startups by providing crucial risk capital at an early stage of their journey.

1. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has arrested another key accused in connection with last month’s Delhi bomb blast case. NIA said that Dr. Bilal Naseer Malla of Baramulla, Jammu and Kashmir is the 8th accused to be arrested in the case. He was nabbed by an NIA team from Delhi.

1. Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi, Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS), Indian Navy, has proceeded on an official visit to Brazil from 09 to 12 Dec 2025. The visit aims to consolidate the robust and growing maritime partnership between the Indian Navy and the Brazilian Navy.
2. The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has handed over two major indigenous technologies to the Indian Army’s Corps of Military Engineering (CME) in Pune—the Camouflage Pattern Generation Software Sigma 4.0 (CPGS 4.0) and a full-scale Multispectral Signature Tank Mock-up.
CPGS 4.0 is an upgraded software suite capable of generating optimised camouflage patterns across multiple spectral bands, including visible, infrared, and radar.
3. Indian Coast Guard (ICG) Ship Sarthak, an indigenously designed and built Offshore Patrol Vessel has commenced its overseas deployment of Gulf countries with maiden port call at Suwaikh, Kuwait.
4. Tata Advanced Systems and Lockheed Martin break ground on a new MRO facility near Bengaluru to maintain and repair C-130J Hercules aircraft, boosting India’s defence readiness and ‘Make in India’ aviation infrastructure.
5. India’s missile defence architecture is poised for a major advancement with the possible integration of Russia’s S-500 system.
