The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has registered an FIR against a former Director General of Police (DGP), Punjab, Mohammed Mustafa and his wife, a former PWD Minister, Punjab, Razia Sultana, in connection with the alleged murder of their son Aqil Akhtar. He had died under suspicious circumstances on October 16 at their home in Panchkula.

5. Sharad Pawar has called for a comprehensive investigation into the controversial land deal allegedly linked to his grandnephew Parth Pawar, son of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar. The controversy revolves around the reported sale of 40 acres of government land in Pune’s Mundhwa area, valued at around Rs 1,800 crore, to a company associated with Parth Pawar for approximately Rs 300 crore, along with a stamp duty waiver.

After Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar’s announcement that the sale deed executed by his son Parth Pawar’s firm for a prime land in Pune has been cancelled, it has come to light that Amadea Enterprises LLP will now have to pay double stamp duty, which comes to Rs 42 crore, for cancellation.
7. The Election Commission of India has issued directions for the suspension of Tarn Taran Senior Superintendent of Police, Ravjot Kaur Grewal with immediate effect.
Amritsar Police Commissioner Gurpreet Singh Bhullar has been assigned the additional charge of SSP, Tarn Taran. The action has been taken on the complaint of Shiromani Akali Dal which has alleged that Ravjot Grewal and two other police officers were favouring Aam Aadmi Party in Tarn Taran ahead of the November 11 Assembly by-election in the border district.

1. Non-banking financial company (NBFC) Piramal Finance, which listed on stock exchanges on Friday, achieved a market capitalisation of around ₹30,000 crore.
