1. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Rajasthan and Haryana today. PM will inaugurate the Rising Rajasthan Global Summit.

2. Cyclone Fengal’s impact, although diminishing, continues to bring rainfall to various parts of Karnataka. The state’s meteorological department has forecasted persistent showers until December 9, affecting over 20 districts.

3. The Prime Minister will launch the Bima Sakhi Yojana at Panipat in Haryana. The scheme is designed to empower women aged between 18 to 70 years who have passed matriculation. During the programme, the Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone of the main campus of Maharana Pratap Horticultural University in Karnal, Haryana.

5. The much-anticipated Winter Chardham Yatra commenced in Uttarakhand, offering devotees an opportunity to visit the winter abodes of the four sacred Dhams. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami officially inaugurated the yatra at Omkareshwar Temple in Ukhimath, Rudraprayag district, where the idol of Lord Kedarnath resides during the winter season.

6. The Winter Session of Karnataka Legislature will begin from 09 Dec (Monday) . The ten-day session is being held in Suvarna Soudha at Belagavi.

9. Rail Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on Sunday said the Railways would run about 13,000 trains, including 3,000 special ones, for the convenience of devotees during the Maha Kumbh. The Maha Kumbh will commence on January 13 on the occasion of Paush Purnima and conclude on February 26 on Mahashivratri.

10. The air quality in the national capital, Delhi has deteriorated to the poor category, with an Air Quality Index (AQI) of 284.

11. Tirumala, the spiritual hub of devotees, will celebrate one of its most significant festivals – Chakra Theertha Mukkoti – on December 12, coinciding with the auspicious Tamil Karthika Masam, aligning with Suddha Dwadasi, a spiritually potent day as per the lunar calendar.

12. Telangana to Introduce Waterbodies, RoR Bills : Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy said that state the government will now introduce several Bills, including one on HYDRAA, the Musi River beautification project and protection of waterbodies.

1. The Mumbai police registered a kidnapping and extortion case on the complaint of actor-comedian Sunil Pal and then transferred it to their counterparts in Uttar Pradesh. According to reports he was abducted when he had gone to Uttarakhand for a show. When he halted for snacks enroute, a man posing as a fan pushed him into a car.
