1. The IMD has issued heavy to very heavy rainfall warning for several states/UTs for July 8 and 9. 10. In Kerala, over 7800 persons have been shifted to 203 relief camps set up at various places across the state due to recent heavy rains. Pathanamthitta district has the highest number of 70 relief camps. Over 790 families have been lodged in these camps.
11. Manipur Governor Anusuiya Uikey visited a relief camp opened in Imphal West district on 7th July 2023, Friday and interacted with the displaced people who have been taking shelter there.
12. Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Friday announced a 37-km new metro line that will connect Sarjapura and Hebbal in Bengaluru. Siddaramaiah said the new line will be built at an estimated cost of ₹15,000 crore.

The company will pay ₹1,362 per share towards the capital reduction.
