1. President Droupadi Murmu will give away the Digital India Awards 2022 to the winners in New Delhi on Saturday, January 7, 2023.

3. The Pradhan Mantri National Apprenticeship Mela will be conducted in 242 districts of the country on 9th of this month. The Mela will provide a unique platform for the participating organizations to select the apprentices. Candidates who are class five to Class 12th pass outs and have skill training certificates, or ITI Diploma holders or graduates can apply in this apprenticeship mela.

2. Railway Protection Force arrests more than 5,100 people for traveling or entering in coaches reserved for ladies.

3. BJP’s Kerala unit on Friday condemned the All India Democratic Women’s Association (AIDWA), which is the women’s wing of the CPI(M), for using the picture of ex-Pakistan PM Benazir Bhutto in its poster. The poster mentioned Bhutto’s credentials, who was honoured with nine honorary doctorates.

1. India’s foreign exchange reserves rose $44 million to $562.85 billion for the week ended December 30, after a two-week decline, according to Reserve Bank of India (RBI) data.

2. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) announced that it will issue first-ever Sovereign Green Bonds worth ₹16,000 crore in two tranches. The central bank will auction 5-year and 10-year green bonds worth ₹4,000 crore each on January 25 and February 9 in what will be a uniform price auction.

3. According to National Statistical Office (NSO), India’s gross domestic product (GDP) is estimated to grow by 7% in 2022-23 as against 8.7% growth in 2021-22.

Six players were selected to Services team for participating in the forthcoming National Team Chess Championship 2022-23 scheduled to be held at Pollachi, Tamil Nadu from 10 Feb 23 to 15 Feb 23.
