Catch the Rain 2023 campaign

1. The President of India, Smt Droupadi Murmu presented the Swachh Sujal Shakti Samman 2023 and graced the launch of Jal Shakti Abhiyan: Catch The Rain -2023 in New Delhi (March 4, 2023). Speaking on the occasion, the President said that water and sanitation hold a special place in the life of every citizen.

The ‘Catch the Rain 2023’ campaign was introduced by President Droupadi Murmu in New Delhi. The campaign’s central idea is the sustainability of drinking water sources.

2. On occasion of World Women’s Day (8th March), Union Health & Family Welfare Ministry to organize a walkathon on 5th March for promoting physical & mental well-being from Vijay Chowk to Nirman Bhawan New Delhi at 7 AM.

1. 2nd Global Partnership for Financial Inclusion Meeting’ is being held in Hyderabad from March 4-6.

1. Supreme Court (SC) noted on Friday that it cannot prescribe a 50% quota for women in the National Defence Academy (NDA).
