SBI has started Gram Seva Program

1. By-elections for seven assembly constituencies in six states will be held on November 3. two are in Bihar (Mokama, Gopalganj), and one each in Maharashtra (Andheri East), Haryana (Adampur), Telangana (Munugode), Uttar Pradesh (Gola Gokrannath), and Odisha (Dhamnagar).

2. Election Commission launches year-long voter awareness program Matadata Junction on All India Radio.

3. Last date to submit application for National Means cum Merit Scholarship scheme extended till Oct 15.

4. Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia inaugurated direct flights between Bilaspur and Indore. The flight will operate between Bilaspur and Indore every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday on this route.

5. The celebration of 68th National Wildlife Week is observed all over India from 2nd to 8th October 2022. The main objective of this campaign is to promote the conservation and protection of animal life.

CRIME REPORT

1. UTTAR PRADESH , five persons including two boys and one woman were killed and 67 people injured after a fire broke out at a Durga Puja pandal in Aurai town of Bhadohi district, October 2.

2. The Supreme Court issued a notice to the Uttar Pradesh government on a plea filed by AIMIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi challenging the bail granted to two accused of firing at his vehicle in February this year. The bench also issued notices to the two accused, Sachin Pandit and Shubham Gurjar. They were released on bail on August 3.

3. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has launched a multi-phase ‘Operation Garuda’. Operation Garuda will help to disrupt, degrade, and dismantle networks with international linkages.

4. J&K : Pakistan’s spy agency ISI is trying to push in as many as terrorists as possible in Kashmir before winters to prove to the world that the Valley is “unstable”, top intelligence sources said after Udhampur blast interrogation.

1. State Bank of India announced that it will adopt 30 remote villages across India under the 4th phase of the ‘SBI Gram Seva’ program on Sunday. It adopt villages across Aspirational Districts in Haryana, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Punjab, Tamil Nadu, and West Bengal.

2. A UN agency has forecasted that India’s economic growth is expected to fall to 5.7% in 2022 from 8.2% in 2021.

He was ex-Drill instructor of the National Defence Academy (NDA). The event was organised by the Madras Sappers in Bengaluru.

Calling it his “Monday Motivation,” Anand Mahindra wrote that he “had goosebumps when Subedar Major Swamy saluted the officers at the event. Subedar Major Swamy, during his tenure, instructed seven Indian Army Generals.
