3. In Chhattisgarh, twelve Maoists were killed in an encounter with security forces in Bijapur district. Three security personnel have also laid down their lives in the line of duty, while two others sustained injuries in the encounter.
4. The Supreme Court on Wednesday ordered the six accused persons in the Delhi riots conspiracy case to furnish their permanent addresses to the court.
The bail pleas filed by the six accused – Umar Khalid, Sharjeel Imam, Gulfisha Fatima, Meeran Haider, Shadab Ahmed and Mohd Saleem Khan.
5. As gun culture spikes, Punjab Police ask government to cancel over 7,000 arms licences. Punjab has nearly 3.46 lakh arms licence-holders, collectively owning over 4.3 lakh registered weapons.
6. Aviation regulator Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) is investigating the widespread disruption plaguing the flight operations of India’s largest airline IndiGo, which led to the cancellation of at least 38 flights at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) on Wednesday.

1. The Madras High Court has refused to vacate its interim order restraining the makers of Ajith starrer “Good Bad Ugly” movie from using three songs of renowned musician Ilaiyaraaja.

The two-day Telangana Rising Global Summit is expected to see the signing of two major MoUs — one for a state-of-the-art film studio-cum-film city to be set up by Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn, and the other for the Reliance Group’s Vantara conservatory and night safari. The summit will be held at Bharat Future City on Dec 8 and 9.

1. Navy Day in India is celebrated on 4 December every year to recognize the achievements of the Indian Navy and its role in the country. 4 December was chosen as on that day in 1971, during Operation Trident, the Indian Navy sank four Pakistani vessels including PNS Khaibar, defeating the Pakistani Navy.
2. President Smt Droupadi Murmu has said the Indian Navy will continue to advance indigenous technologies and contribute significantly to the nation’s goal of building a Viksit Bharat. She was addressing the Navy Operational Demonstration in Thiruvananthapuram on the eve of Navy Day.
3. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and his Russian counterpart Andrei Belousov will co-chair the 22nd India-Russia Inter-Governmental Commission on Military and Military Technical Cooperation ministerial meeting in New Delhi.
4. India’s Operation Sagar Bandhu continues to bolster Sri Lanka’s struggle against the devastation caused by Cyclone Ditwah.
5. The Defence Ministry said that the Mi-17 helicopters of the Indian Air Force continued operations in Sri Lanka, airlifting more than 8 tonnes of relief material and evacuating 65 survivors, including foreign nationals, critically ill patients and a pregnant woman.
6. The 14th edition of the Joint Military Exercise EKUVERIN between the Indian Army and the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) has commenced at Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. The exercise will be conducted from 02 to 15 December 2025.
7. Air Marshal Tejbir Singh has assumed the position of Director General (Inspection and Safety) [DG (I&S)] at the Air Headquarters on 01 December 2025. This appointment marks another milestone in his distinguished journey in the Indian Air Force (IAF).
8. India has finalised a $946 million sustainment agreement with the United States to support its fleet of 24 MH-60R Seahawk naval helicopters.
