11. Nearly four lakh square kilometres of offshore area in the Andaman Basin, long classified as a “No-Go Zone”, have been opened up for oil and gas exploration, Lieutenant Governor of Andaman and Nicobar Islands Admiral (retd) DK Joshi said, describing the basin as having “Guyana-like” potential.
12. The Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Hardeep Singh Puri, said that the government is continuously monitoring the evolving situation in West Asia.
