1. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) registered a case against an Assistant Commissioner of Central Goods and Services Tax (CGST), Jaipur, for allegedly accumulating assets worth Rs. 2.54 crore through illegal means.
2. The Supreme Court today issued notice on a plea to club FIRs registered against Chennai techie Rene Joshilda accused of sending bomb threat emails across multiple states seemingly to frame a man who refused to marry her.
3. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested a key cybercrime accused, who was part of a syndicate that targeted Japanese citizens through “tech support scams”. The action has been taken as part of the ongoing ‘Operation Chakra-V’ against cybercriminals.
4. In Bihar, the Election Commission has removed the Sub Divisional Magistrate of Barh, Chandan Kumar and two Sub divisional Police Officers (SDPOs) Rakesh Kumar and Abhishek Singh of the same region in view of poll violence and murder of a political worker in Mokama assembly constituency of Patna district.
5. Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge countered Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday over his claim that Jawaharlal Nehru was not in favour of Kashmir’s accession to India and challenged him to read the correspondence between Nehru and Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on the issue, and review the Constituent Assembly discussions of the time.

The incident occurred during the Ekadashi observance in the holy month of Karthika. PM Modi expressed deep grief and announced 2 lakh rupees each for the families of the deceased and 50,000 rupees for the injured.

1. The total gross Goods and Services Tax, GST collections grew 4.6 per cent to over 1.95 lakh crore rupees last month as compared to October 2024, despite GST rate cuts implemented on 22nd September. The total gross GST revenue in October 2024 was 1.87 lakh crore rupees. The Central GST collection in October stood at 36 thousand 547 crore rupees and State GST is at 45 thousand 134 crore rupees.
2. The 8th CPC’s recommendations are
expected to take effect from 1 January 2026.

Minister Narendra Modi, approved the Terms of Reference
(ToR) for the 8th Central Pay Commission (CPC). This decision
marks a major administrative step toward revising the pay

employees. Traditionally, a Pay Commission is set up every ten years,

3. The Indian Coast Guard (ICG) carried out a long-range medical evacuation (MEDEVAC) of a critically injured Iranian fisherman from a fishing dhow, Al-Owais, stranded about 1,500 km west of Kochi, Kerala, in the Arabian Sea.
4. Larsen & Tourbo (L&T) on Friday announced a deal with US-based General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) to manufacture unmanned aircraft systems for Indian armed forces.
5. The Indian Army has successfully conducted a large-scale drone and counter-drone exercise titled ‘Vayu Samanvay-II’ in the Desert Sector under the Southern Command.
