1. In Chhattisgarh, fifteen Maoists, including nine women, surrendered in Mahasamund district.
2. The government has debunked a letter being circulated on social media of the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre, sending a legal notice. The Fact Check Unit of the Press Information Bureau, in a social media post, informed that the letter is fake and has not been issued by the Intelligence Bureau.
3. Maharashtra State Commission for Women Chairperson Rupali Chakankar has directed all district collectors and divisional commissioners across the state to conduct a POSH internal complaints committee audit within one month.

3. The Indian Naval Sailing Vessel (INSV) Kaundinya will be ceremonially flagged into Mumbai Harbour on 02 Mar 2026 by Shri Sanjay Seth, Raksha Rajya Mantri.
4. Bangladesh’s newly appointed chief of the Directorate General of Forces Intelligence (DGFI), Major General Kaisar Rashid Chowdhury, yesterday flew to New Delhi, marking the first such visit by a high-ranking Army officer and head of the country’s premier intelligence agency.
5. Maj Gen VT Mathew, AVSM, YSM, General Officer Commanding, Karnataka & Kerala Sub Area, relinquished command on 28 February 2026 upon superannuation, bringing to a close an illustrious military career spanning nearly four decades.
6. In Jharkhand, Assistant Commandant Ajay Malik of the 209 CoBRA Battalion was seriously injured in an IED blast during an anti-Naxal operation in the Saranda forest of West Singhbhum district. The joint search operation was launched based on specific intelligence inputs about the presence of Naxals when a pressure IED exploded during the exercise.
