Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, said to be involved in the murder of singer Sidhu Moose Wala, will move Punjab and Haryana High Court with plea to not give his custody to Punjab Police. Bishnoi is lodged in Tihar jail on multiple charges.
Canada-based Goldy Brar has claimed responsibility for Moose Wala’s murder. Brar is a close aide of Bishnoi.
Moose Wala’s murder is being linked to the turf war between the gangs of Bishnoi and Davinder Bambiha. He was shot dead in an encounter in 2016 and his gang is now run by Lucky Patiyal, who is jailed in Armenia

1. Crude oil price crossed the $117 mark on Wednesday after European Union agreed to a phased ban on Russian oil and as China ended its COVID-19 lockdown in Shanghai. While Brent crude rose $1.80 to $117.40/barrel, US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) was up $1.63 to $116.30/barrel at 6:03 pm. May is the sixth consecutive month recording rising crude oil prices.
2. Meta Platforms’ Chief Operating Officer (COO) Sheryl Sandberg has announced she’s stepping down from her position. Meta’s Chief Growth Officer Javier Olivan will take over as COO.
