1. President Smt Droupadi Murmu inaugurated the Guru Gorakhnath AYUSH University in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh. Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandi Ben Patel and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath were also present on the occasion.

2. Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw launched RailOne app, which is a one-stop solution for all passenger services. The App offers ease of access for services like ticketing, enquiries of trains, PNR, Journey Planning, Rail Madad Services and Food on Train.

3. India is celebrating 10 years of the Digital India programme. It was launched by PM Modi in 2015. The Prime Minister has said that Digital India has become a people’s movement and is central to building an Aatmanirbhar Bharat and making India a trusted innovation partner to the world.

4. Union Cabinet approves one lakh crore rupees Employment-Linked Incentive scheme to create 3.5 Crore jobs; Also gives nod to National Sports Policy to transform India into a leading sporting nation.

5. Union Cabinet has also given its nod for the construction of four lane Paramakudi-Ramanathapuram section in Tamil Nadu with a cost of one thousand 853 crore rupees.

6. Telangana High Court Advocates’ Association met chief minister A Revanth Reddy and thanked him for allocating Rs 1,028 crore for the construction of the new high court at Rajendranagar.

7. India’s first-ever wooden Gurdwara, Sri Nanak Niwas, has been built in Fazilka, Punjab, inside the police lines. Constructed entirely from imported Finnish Deodhar wood, the shrine stands as a unique architectural marvel and spiritual sanctuary, attracting devotees from across the country and beyond.

8. Anil Tiwari has been appointed as the new president of the BJP’s Andaman and Nicobar Islands unit, succeeding Ajay Bairagi.

9. The Bharatiya Janata Party appointed former MLC N Ramchander Rao as the next President of the Party’s Telangana State Unit, succeeding Union Minister Kishan Reddy.

10. Teghbir Singh, a six-year-old from Punjab, has set a new world record by becoming the youngest mountaineer to scale Mount Elbrus. It is the highest mountain in Russia and Europe, which is 18,510 feet (5,642 metres) high.

11. The prices of 19kg commercial LPG cylinders dropped by 58 rupees 50 paise in Delhi. The Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) announced that the retail price of a commercial LPG gas cylinder is now 1 thousand 665 rupees in Delhi. Meanwhile, the commercial LPG price has dropped by 57 rupees in Kolkata, 58 rupees in Mumbai and 57 rupees 50 paise in Chennai. There is no change in the prices of domestic cylinders.

12. Union Territory Ladakh Administration has decided to grant one-time special relaxation in the upper age limit for direct recruitment to Group A and Group B Gazetted posts of the Union Territory during this financial year.

13. Ahead of the Amarnath Yatra, the authorities yesterday opened the offline token distribution centre at Saraswati Dham in Jammu. Pilgrims aspiring to undertake the Yatra thronged at the centre to get tokens for their on-the-spot registration. Tokens are being distributed to pilgrims undertaking the Yatra on both the Pahalgam and Baltal routes at the Saraswati Dham token centre.

14. CHAR DHAM YATRA RESUMES: The temporary suspension of the Char Dham Yatra in Uttarakhand, imposed due to heavy rainfall, has been lifted yesterday.

15. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall in Arunachal Pradesh, East Rajasthan, Gujarat, Odisha and Uttar Pradesh today.

1. In West Bengal, the Alipore Court has sent three accused of the South Calcutta Law College alleged gang rape to police custody till 8th of this month. The security guard has been sent to police custody till 4th July.

2. Union Home Minister Amit Shah has said that the three New Criminal Laws introduced under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi will make the judicial process not only affordable, accessible, and approachable, but also simple, consistent, and transparent. The new laws are Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam.

3. The Calcutta High Court has asked Indian cricketer Mohammad Shami to pay his estranged wife and daughter Rs 4 lakh per month as maintenance in his ongoing legal tussle against Hasin Jahan, his estranged wife.

4. The Supreme Court has introduced a formal reservation policy for the direct appointment and promotion of its staffers belonging to scheduled castes and scheduled tribes.

5. Delhi, Petrol vehicles older than 15 years and diesel vehicles older than 10 years will not get fuel from 01 Jul 2025 . The Delhi government had issued Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to enforce the ban on refuelling end-of-life vehicles and mandating petrol pumps to maintain a log of all denied fuel transactions involving such vehicles.

6. Indian cricketer Rinku Singh, best known for his IPL heroics and a gold medal win at the 2022 Asian Games, is set to be appointed as a Basic Education Officer (BSA) in Uttar Pradesh. But the news, instead of being met with unanimous applause, has triggered a wave of criticism online, with many questioning how someone who allegedly failed Class 9 could be handed such a key education post.

A notification regarding Rinku’s appointment was reportedly issued by the Director of Basic Education in Uttar Pradesh, with formalities currently underway.

1. Himachal Pradesh has been experiencing heavy monsoon rainfall over the past 24 hours. Five people have lost their lives in rain-related incidents in the state and fifteen missing in rain related incidents in Himachal Pradesh yesterday.

2. Eight people died and five were injured in a blast at a cracker factory in Sattur Virudhunagar District of Tamil Nadu. The incident happened at a cracker factory, More than 50 people are working in the factory in 20 rooms. Due to the blast five rooms were destroyed.

3. Death toll in explosion in the pharma industry in Sangareddy district in Telangana has risen to 36. Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has sought a comprehensive report on the explosion. He has announced ex-gratia of one crore rupees each to the families of the deceased and ten lakh rupees for those injured.

1. The untimely death of Shefali Jariwala on June 27 has left the entertainment world in disbelief. Best remembered as the ‘Kaanta Laga’ girl, the 42-year-old reportedly suffered a cardiac arrest late in the evening and was rushed to Bellevue Multispecialty Hospital in Andheri by her husband, actor Parag Tyagi. She was declared dead on arrival.

As police continue to investigate the cause of her sudden death, fresh developments have surfaced, shedding light on a possible link between her long-term anti-ageing treatments and the fatal cardiac arrest.

1. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has said that India reserves the right to respond and defend against terrorism and pre-empt as well as deter any further cross-border attacks. During a telephonic conversation with the US Secretary of Defence Pete Hegseth, the Defence Minister said, India’s actions were measured, non-escalatory, proportionate and focused on disabling terrorist infrastructure during the Operation Sindoor.

2. Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders delivered INS Udaygiri, the second stealth frigate under Project-17A, further strengthening the Indian Navy’s surface fleet.

3. DRDO has developed India’s first photonic radar, which uses light-based components for faster, lower-energy signal processing, making it highly effective at detecting stealth aircraft and hypersonic threats; extensive trials will begin in late 2025.

4. India will equip its Su-30 and MiG-29 fighter jets with Russian R-37M hypersonic air-to-air missiles.

5. Indian Air Force Group Captain, Shubhanshu Shukla, the first Indian aboard the International Space Station (ISS), is leading a groundbreaking experiment to decode muscle loss in space. Part of Axiom Space’s Ax-4 mission, Shukla is studying muscle stem cell cultures in the ISS’s Kibo module to find supplements that may prevent muscle atrophy. The research has vital implications for astronauts on long missions and patients with muscle loss on Earth.

6. In a major boost to India’s defence sector, Reliance Defence, a subsidiary of Reliance Infrastructure, has partnered with U.S.-based defence contractor Coastal Mechanics Inc. (CMI) to establish a cutting-edge Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) facility in Maharashtra. The joint venture will focus on upgrading air and land defence platforms for the Indian armed forces and export clients, aligning with the government’s push for indigenous defence capability under the “Atmanirbhar Bharat” initiative.

7. Rear Admiral V Ganapathy, a senior officer of the Indian Navy with distinguished service across various military domains, has been appointed as the new Commandant of MILIT Pune.

8. After 18 months of delay, the first three Apache attack helicopters for the Indian Army are expected to arrive by the end of July 2025, with all six to be delivered by October 2025.

The Indian Army’s long-awaited Boeing AH-64E Apache attack helicopters is the $800 million deal, signed in February 2020 during then-U.S. President Donald Trump’s visit to India.
