1. In MAHARASHTRA, 25 people died and eight others were injured after a bus carrying 33 passengers caught fire on the Samruddhi Mahamarg expressway in Buldhana district yesterday.
2. In BIHAR, agitating candidates of the teacher recruitment examination and police clashed Patna on 1st July 2023, Saturday. Several candidates were injured during the lathi charge. The candidates were opposing the state government’s decision to allow candidates of other states in Bihar Teacher Recruitment Examination.

Supreme Court on Saturday granted interim protection to activist Teesta Setalvad, who was denied regular bail by Gujarat High Court in a case of alleged fabrication of evidence in relation to the 2002 Gujarat riots. Supreme Court stayed the High Court’s order, asking her to surrender immediately, by seven days. A Supreme Court bench heard the plea at special sitting.

1. Reserve Bank has imposed a penalty of Rs 65 lakh on city-based AP Mahesh Co-operative Urban Bank, for non-compliance with provisions of Cyber Security Framework for Primary (Urban) cooperative banks, Hyderabad Police said.
