1. The Winter Session of Parliament began yesterday. 8. The Government has invited comments on the proposed Draft of the amendments to the Post Office Act, 2023. The proposed amendments seek to operationalize a modern, secure, interoperable and user-centric digital addressing ecosystem for India. Reacting to media reports that the Ministry of Home Affairs has approved a proposal to change the names of Raj Bhavans and Raj Niwas across the country as Lok Bhavan and Lok Niwas respectively, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin on Sunday (30 November 2025) said a change in mindset was needed more than the change in names.

4. The Supreme Court on Monday (December 1, 2025) tasked the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) with cracking down on ‘digital arrest’ scammers and their associates, giving the agency a “free hand” to launch an anti-corruption probe into bankers involved in the opening of mule accounts linked to cybercrimes.

6. National Investigation Agency (NIA) has conducted searches at several locations in Jammu and Kashmir and Uttar Pradesh as part of its investigations in Delhi car blast case. The NIA in a statement shared that a total of eight locations were searched in the districts of Shopian, Kulgam, Pulwama and Awantipora of Jammu and Kashmir and one location in Lucknow.

Department of Telecommunications, DoT has issued directions to major App-Based Communication Services to prevent the misuse of telecommunication identifiers and to safeguard the integrity and security of the telecom ecosystem. These include WhatsApp, Telegram, Snapchat, Arattai, Sharechat, Josh, Jiochat and Signal.

1. The Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) has lodged an official complaint against Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh, that he insulted Goddess Chamundadevi during the closing ceremony of the 56th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa.
According to the complaint, Singh imitated on stage the divine form of a deity depicted in the Rishab Shetty starrer Kannada film Kantara – Chapter 1 and referred to Chamundi Daiva—revered by the Kotitulu community—as a “female ghost”.
2. The Malayalam film industry has once again entered it’s ‘Mohanlal -wood’ era as ‘Drishyam 3’, written and directed by Jeethu Joseph, has entered the Rs 350-crore club even before completing its shoot.

1. Vice Admiral Sanjay Sadhu, AVSM, NM assumed charge as the Controller of Warship Production & Acquisition on 28 Nov 2025. Commissioned in the Indian Navy in 1987, the VAdm is a Post Graduate in Mechanical Engineering and MPhil in Defence and Strategic Studies.
2. The Passing Out Parade (POP) of the 149th Course of the National Defence Academy (NDA) held at Khadakwasla on Sunday. The parade marked the culmination of three years of rigorous military training for 329 cadets, including trainees from friendly foreign countries.
3. The Indian Army on Monday successfully test-fired a BrahMos supersonic cruise missile over the Bay of Bengal, demonstrating its long-range precision-strike capability.
4. Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh visited the Defence Materials and Stores Research & Development Establishment (DMSRDE), a Kanpur-based laboratory of DRDO, on 30 November 2025.

The United Kingdom and India have concluded the eighth edition of their flagship army exercise Ajeya Warrior, with senior officials on both sides presenting the event as evidence of a rapidly deepening defence partnership. Held at Mahajan Field Firing Ranges in Rajasthan from 17 to 30 November, the exercise brought together 120 soldiers from the Indian Army’s 21st Battalion The Sikh Regiment and an equal number from A (Amboor) Company, 2nd Battalion The Royal Gurkha Rifles.
6. The Indian Army is recruiting women from the northeast and the Ladakh region as jawans, Deputy Chief of Army Staff (DCOAS) Lt Gen Rakesh Kapoor said, adding that their turnout has been impressive.
