2. In the Mann Ki Baat programme, Prime Minister Modi urges citizens to celebrate festivals with a ‘Vocal for Local’ spirit, supporting Indian products.

3. The National e-Governance Division (NeGD), under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), has achieved the digital India milestone by enabling Pan-India integration of nearly two thousand e-Government services on DigiLocker and e-District platforms.

5. Union Home Minister Amit Shah will visit Jammu today to review ongoing rescue and relief operations and assess the damage caused by recent cloudbursts and floods. He will review the situation in Katra, where landslides along the Vaishno Devi pilgrimage route have caused several deaths.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu recently said that a bullet train connecting Hyderabad, Chennai, Amravati, and Bengaluru will be launched soon.

13. In Bihar, the state government approved a new scheme aimed at providing employment opportunities for women. The ‘Mukhyamantri Mahila Rojgar Yojana’ was approved in a cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. Under this scheme, one woman from every family in the state will be provided financial assistance to start an occupation of her choice.

14. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin on Saturday embarked on a 1-week trip to Germany and the United Kingdom to secure industrial investments to the state.

1. Enforcement Directorate has provisionally attached immovable and movable properties worth over 394 crore rupees in the Bikebot Scam Case under the provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act. The properties were held in the name of Kamakhya Educational and Social Welfare Trust.

2. A complaint was lodged against Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra in Chhattisgarh due to her controversial statement about Union Home Minister Amit Shah. She criticised Amit Shah for failing to prevent illegal Bangladeshi infiltration into India, emphasising that border security is the Home Ministry’s responsibility.

3. Bengaluru Police Commissioner, Seemant Kumar Singh, has declared dry days in Bengaluru during the upcoming Ganesh idol processions and immersions.

4. Telangana Legislative Assembly Monsoon Session convened for its second day, with the proceedings dominated by a heated debate over the Justice PC Ghose Commission report on the Kaleshwaram irrigation project.

5. Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) has issued a primary notification for the proposed alignment of the 100-meter-wide Regional Ring Road (RRR) within the Hyderabad Metropolitan Region.

*This alignment spans eight districts, 33 mandals, and 163 revenue village panchayats, with digital maps and detailed survey numbers published on the HMDA website. The public and institutions are invited to submit objections and suggestions in writing to the HMDA Commissioner by 15 September 2025.

1. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Governor Sanjay Malhotra has said that India will become the world’s third largest economy soon, and credited the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana for boosting the country’s growth. His remark came at a time when India’s GDP grew 7.8 per cent in the April-June quarter of the current fiscal, the highest in five quarters.

2. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has rolled out fresh changes in the rules governing savings bank accounts. These changes will directly impact millions of customers across public sector banks, private banks, and regional rural banks. The new regulations aim to bring more transparency, digital convenience, and better financial discipline for account holders.

1. The Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad (IIT Hyderabad) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Army Training Command, Shimla to establish a Centre of Excellence (CoE). The CoE is titled VIGRAHA (Virtual, Intelligent, Ground-breaking Research in AR/VR and High-tech Applications for Indian Army).

2. The Defence Research and Development Organisation’s (DRDO’s) High Energy Materials Research Laboratory (HEMRL) in Pune has successfully developed and indigenised a ‘signal star naval flare’ for Kalvari-class submarines of the Indian Navy. The system was formally handed over to the director general – naval armament inspection (DG-NAI) at a ceremony held in Pune on Friday.

3. The indigenous defence ecosystem in India marked a significant milestone with Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh’s announcement that the first two TEJAS MK-1A variants could be handed over to the Indian Air Force (IAF) by the end of September 2025.These two fighter jets will include full weapons integration, symbolising operational readiness for frontline deployment.
