Tamil Nadu CM Stalin Discharged After Heart Procedure, Advised Rest

Stalin Discharged

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin was discharged from a Chennai hospital after a medical procedure concerning his heart. The DMK leader was hospitalized last week after he complained of mild discomfort, reportedly during his morning ritual. Doctors subsequently decided that he needed to be treated for abnormal heart rhythm.

Cardiac Procedure and Recovery

After extensive medical examinations and observation, Stalin had a cardiac operation to correct irregularities in his heartbeat. Sources close to the issue say the treatment was preventive and to stabilize heart function. There were no indications of blockage in arteries, and general cardiac health was said to be good. The hospital confirmed that the operation was performed successfully, and that Stalin reacted positively to the treatment.

Ongoing Administrative Monitoring

Though hospitalized, Stalin was in contact with the top bureaucracy and went on giving directions on government matters from a distance. He even watched running development works and welfare schemes via video conferencing, including the progress of the ‘Ungaludan Stalin’ scheme — a state-level public grievance reparation system personally initiated and promoted by him.

Family Visits and Political Support

In the hospital, Stalin was visited by his son and cabinet minister Udhayanidhi Stalin, among other members of the ruling DMK and close relatives. There were party members and supporters who were around the hospital building, praying and inquiring about his condition. Even political leaders from other political parties sent wishes for him to recover fast.

Discharge and Future Plans

After close to a week of observation by doctors, Stalin was pronounced fit to leave the hospital. Some days of rest are recommended by doctors before he picks up duties as usual. In appreciation of the medical care, Stalin expressed gratitude to the doctors and acknowledged the sympathy of the public. Stalin is likely to return to duties gradually by the close of the week.

The Chief Minister’s office announced that all future engagements would be rescheduled in accordance with medical recommendations. Senior ministers will meanwhile attend to urgent matters that need to be addressed in person, as Stalin recovers at home.
