In response to her remark, Rashtrapati Bhavan released a statement that “The comments made
by some prominent leaders of the Congress party are in poor taste, unfortunate and entirely. It
has clearly hurt the dignity of the high office and is unacceptable. These leaders have said that
the President was getting very tired by the end and she could hardly speak.тАЭ
Even though Rashtrapati Bhavan did not point fingers in the response, it is quite evident that it
meant Sonia Gandhi.
