Support for Victims and Families
Ms. Gupta met with some of the families of the victims and promised full government support. “We stand with the affected families in this moment of grief. Financial assistance cannot bring back their loved ones, but it will help them rebuild their lives,” she said.
Officials from the Chief Minister’s Office said the process of compensation has already begun and government representatives are visiting hospitals to ensure that all injured victims get proper treatment.

Investigation intensifies; two detained
Delhi Police, working in coordination with intelligence agencies, detained two persons connected with the car that exploded. The car reportedly moved slowly before bursting into flames and has been traced to an address in East Delhi. Preliminary reports suggest that the blast could have been triggered due to some flammable material kept in the trunk, though the authorities have not ruled out foul play either.
Forensic teams have collected samples from the site, and officials asserted that the investigation is now being handled jointly by the NIA and the Special Cell given the sensitive nature of the incident.
The fall in output during contraction is partly because households reduce their spending as a result of the fall in employment.
Capital mourns, security tightened
Since the blast, security has been heightened around important monuments and high-traffic areas throughout Delhi. Public-access areas of the Red Fort complex remain partially cordoned off today, pending further safety checks. CM Rekha Gupta, in her concluding remarks, appealed for calm but vigilance among the citizens. “Delhi has faced tragedies before and emerged stronger each time. We will ensure justice, safety, and peace for every resident of this city.”
