New Delhi: The government announces the winners for the Padma Bhushan, India’s third-highest civil honor. To this list have been added this year four iconic South Indian film industry stars-Ajith Kumar, Nandamuri Balakrishna, Shobhana and Anant Nag. They, all being famous artists, are recognized for the immeasurable value they brought through their immense cinema contributions, extending their work onto the celluloid screen into effective real-life implementations for the welfare and betterment of society.

Ajith Kumar, fondly called Thala, has been rewarded for his great contribution to Tamil d . This superstar has more than three decades of experience and has delivered the most versatile characters and performances in films like Mankatha, Vedalam and Thunivu.

Nandamuri Balakrishna
