The Fighting Feminist

The Fighting Feminist

“The feminine political voice is personal. It’s intimate. It’s caregiving and life-enhancing. It’s
about bringing more love, caring, and justice into the world. It’s also fierce and determined.”
― Tabby Biddle

There is burbling anger in her to stand for herself, to be known for her work, to fight against patriarchy, and maybe her family sometimes. Their lines of her battleground are not limited; it extends inside and outside home, country, world, and beyond oceans.

Her fight is for identity, equal pay for talent and skills, sexuality, education, and opportunities. Men follow her in groups and she is afraid to admit it to her family. For, they will impose a curfew on her

For how long is she going to unsafe on her own country roads? For how long society will hold her back by telling her she is to marry a strong man?

But even if this fighting feminist wins the battle there are a lot of women who are going to lose. Because it is not in everyone’s spirit to fight, fall, fight, fight, and win. It leaves marks and innocence fades away.

She is marginalized when it comes to driving on the streets, trading in stocks, and working in banks, and shops. She is capable of growing a human in her belly but apparently, she is not smart enough to run a country or make political statements and moves.

Her favorite color is definitely pink, never black. Her hobby is weaving, reading, and singing, not cricket, chess, or tech. How come women are still associated with the skills and hobbies of the 16th century? When the timeline was passing, was she stuck in the time and slept all the while?

The fighting feminist reminds me of the Jhansi Ki Rani who led an army and fought bravely against the Britishers while kings were too afraid to lose.

Women are as strong, intelligent, and courageous as men and few are even leaders and visionaries who are born to create a change. They have impeccable inspiration and drive to bring reforms and make the world a better place to live in.

Especially the ones who have emotions. For, they are capable of empathizing and working for the tribals, marginalized and poor people of the country.

The Fighting Feminist will lead an army. She will stand out wherever the patriarchy places her. Her aura will shine brighter than corruption and discrimination. She will fight and win when she will stand for the people she really cares about. She is unstoppable.

She is reading this now, somewhere among us.
