Why do ants bite you⁉️
Ant bites and stings occur on people who enter an ant’s habitat. This could be unintentional, for example, if you stepped barefoot on an ant mound (an ant colony home). Ants bite as a reaction to feeling threatened and bite or sting to protect themselves.

Red Ants are also called Fire Ants and may be referred to as a Ginger Ant in some places. Red ants or Fire Ants are unique because unlike other ants they bite with their mouths to hold on and then they sting injecting toxins into their prey (or an unsuspecting human). The venom causes a burning pain at the site of the wound that some say feels like fire. Red ants are also more aggressive than black ants.. Red Ants can be found in the ground, and you may even see a large mound marking the location of a colony.
Black ants will bite and spray acid on the wound, but it doesn’t hurt as bad as the venom from a red ant. Black ants are more of a nuisance than a health concern. Black ants will nest in trees, wood, and you may even find them in your house. Unlike red ants, black ants are not aggressive and my not even bite a human unless they’re startled.
*Both red and black common ants bite. But the amount of formic acid released by black ants is negligible and therefore not noticeable. But red ants deliver high amount of formic acid in their bite and therefore give more pain,swelling and redness.
