1.India and the United States reviewed ongoing cooperation in counter-terrorism and security domains in a day-long Homeland Security Dialogue (HSD), discussing steps to bolster bilateral efforts to combat terrorism and reaffirming their commitment to strengthen the vibrant people-to-people ties between the two countries by taking steps to enable safe and legal migration.

The founder and chairman of Bharti Enterprises, Sunil Bharti Mittal, will receive the Honorary Knighthood, the Knight Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (KBE), in recognition of his contributions, and his services to UK and India business relations.The Honorary KBE, which is to be conferred on Mittal, is the second-highest order of the British Empire.

1. Amid the ongoing war between Israel and Hamas, the goal of US administration is to achieve a deal to reach a humanitarian pause and the release of hostages as soon as possible, US Department of State spokesperson Matthew Miller said.
2. China’s former foreign minister Qin Gang, who was absent from public duties since last June, has stepped down from the country’s top legislature, the official Xinhua News Agency said.
3.Amid the escalating tensions in the Red Sea, the US Central Command has said that US aircraft and a coalition warship shot down five Iranian-backed Houthi one-way attack (OWA) unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) in the Red Sea on Tuesday.
4. New Zealand to Repeal Anti-Tobacco Law
New Zealand, under Prime Minister Christopher Luxon’s coalition government, is repealing the law banning tobacco sales to future generations, originally enacted during Jacinda Arden’s tenure. The law scheduled for implementation in July.
