1. The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Khaled arrives in New Delhi on a three-day visit to India; To hold talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on bilateral cooperation today.
2. External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar reaches Saudi Arabia to attend First India-Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Foreign Ministers’ meeting.
Dr Jaishankar will also travel to German Capital Berlin on Tuesday. He will meet German Federal Foreign Minister and the leadership and other Ministers of Germany with an objective to review the entire gamut of bilateral relations between India and Germany.
3. India has sent 1000 MT rice as humanitarian assistance for drought affected Malawi. India has also sent humanitarian aid to Zimbabwe for food security needs of the Zimbabwean people. A consignment of 1000 MT rice departed from the Nhava Sheva port for the African nation.
4. India has also extended medical aid consisting of Essential Life-saving Antibiotics and General Medicines to the government of Republic of Chad, in response to a deadly fire incident.
5. National Security Adviser Ajit Doval will visit Russia next week. NSA Doval will attend the BRICS NSA meeting in Moscow.
6. The US government has imposed sanctions on two companies, both registered in India, for attempting to export liquefied natural gas from a Russian project that America had sanctioned.
7. The third edition of the “India-Japan Education Conclave” is scheduled to take place in Guwahati on September 28, marking a significant milestone in the deepening Indo-Japan relations.
8. The Union Health Ministry said on Sunday (Sep 8) that a suspected case of Mpox (monkeypox) has been detected and has been isolated at one of the hospitals designated to handle such infections. A man, who recently travelled to an African country where Mpox is spreading, is currently undergoing tests to confirm the diagnosis.

2. A gunman killed three Israeli civilians in an attack near the Allenby Bridge border crossing with Jordan before security forces shot him dead on Sunday (Sept 8). A terrorist approached the area of the Allenby Bridge from Jordan in a truck, exited the truck, and opened fire at the Israeli security forces operating at the bridge.
