1. The all party delegation led by BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad reached Delhi today after successfully concluding its visit to Germany.

2. External Affairs Minister Dr. S Jaishankar is on a seven-day visit to France, European Union and Belgium to further deepen India’s strategic ties and give renewed momentum to ongoing cooperation in diverse areas.

1. Russia has announced that its forces have advanced to the edge of the east-central Ukrainian region of Dnipropetrovsk, marking a significant escalation in the ongoing conflict. This military move comes amid a public dispute between Moscow and Kyiv over peace negotiations and the return of thousands of fallen soldiers’ bodies.

2. Colombia’s right-wing presidential candidate, 39-year-old Senator Miguel Uribe Turbay, was shot multiple times during a campaign event in the capital, Bogotá.

3. US President Donald Trump has ordered the deployment of 2,000 National Guard troops in Los Angeles to help manage the unrest over raids on undocumented migrants.

4. Ukrainian officials have denied Russia’s claim that Kyiv is delaying a prisoner exchange. According to the statement, Ukraine has handed over to Russia the list of prisoners designated for the exchange. However, Russia has submitted different lists that do not meet the agreed parameters of the swap.

5. The global initiative to protect 30 per cent of the oceans by 2030 requires an annual investment of $15.8 billion. This figure is outlined in the report titled “The Ocean Protection Gap – Assessing Progress toward the 30×30 Target.” The report, released by a consortium of NGOs and funders, marks funding shortfall. Currently, only $1.2 billion is allocated annually for ocean protection, leaving a gap of $14.6 billion. This report comes ahead of the United Nations Ocean Conference 3, scheduled for June 2025 in France.

6. Former Pakistan prime minister Imran Khan is likely to get bail on June 11 in the Al-Qadir Trust case.
