1. The Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal has thanked the Chinese Foreign Ministry for congratulating Prime Minister-designate Narendra Modi on his win in the recently concluded Lok Sabha elections. Jaiswal noted that India will continue to pursue normalisation of ties between the two nations.

2. Maldivian President Mohamed Muizzu said on Saturday that he would be honoured to attend Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s swearing-in ceremony and his visit to India for the historic event would demonstrate that bilateral ties are heading in a positive direction.

1. DENMARK SUFFERED WHIPLASH IN STREET ATTACK : Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen has suffered a light whiplash injury after she was assaulted by a man in central Copenhagen, The assault took place in a square in the city’s old town when a man walked up to the politician and hit her.

2. The Quetta police have filed a First Information Report (FIR) against Baloch rights activist Dr Mahrang Baloch and several others, alleging their involvement in a protest against enforced disappearances and extrajudicial killings on May 18 that disrupted traffic on Court Road.

3. A video circulating on social media captures the fervent voices of children protesting against the lack of essential facilities and qualified teachers in the Pakistan-occupied Gilgit Baltistan region.The protest, reportedly originating from Thang village in Astore district.
