1. Telangana secured a massive investment of $1 Billion by US major Eli Lilly, which will expand its manufacturing and global medicine supply capacity in Hyderabad. The expansion will be facilitated through new contract manufacturing, adding huge job opportunities for Telangana’s youth.

2. TATA Advanced Systems Limited (TASL) inaugurated its first overseas defence manufacturing facility on September 23, 2025, in Berrechid, near Casablanca, Morocco. This marked the start of local production of the 8×8 Wheeled Armoured Platform (WhAP), an infantry combat vehicle designed for modern battlefield requirements.

3. External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar emphasised India’s pivotal role in the global Artificial Intelligence (AI) landscape during his address at the Trust and Safety India Festival 2025, a precursor to the AI Impact Summit scheduled for February 2026.

4. Pakistan’s Director General of ISPR, Lt General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, recently claimed that Chinese-made weapons performed “exceptionally well” during the four-day conflict with India in May 2025, known as Operation Sindoor.He specifically cited recent Chinese platforms like J-10C and JF-17 fighter jets and PL-15 air-to-air missiles as demonstrating good performance, despite India’s substantial offensive success during the conflict.

5. At the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) debate on Women, Peace, and Security, India issued a strong rebuttal against Pakistan’s repeated accusations. India’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Parvathaneni Harish, called Pakistan’s statements a “delusional tirade,” particularly criticising its narrative concerning Jammu and Kashmir. He emphasised that Pakistan’s attacks on India are baseless and intended solely to distract the international community.

6. US President Donald Trump has reiterated his false claim of having ended the India-Pakistan conflict following Operation Sindoor through trade-related measures. Speaking on Monday (local time), Trump asserted that his use of tariffs and trade policies had a decisive impact on global conflicts, including the tense situation between India and Pakistan.

7. India has launched the Unified Payments Interface (UPI) system at Lulu Group supermarkets in Qatar, following its earlier introduction at Hamad International Airport.

8. Prime Minister Narendra Modi yesterday spoke to Russian President Vladimir Putin and greeted him on his 73rd birthday.

The Nobel Prize 2025 in Physics honors three distinguished scientists, Three US-based scientists, John Clarke, Michel Devoret and John Martinis have been awarded the 2025 Nobel Prize in Physics for groundbreaking experiments involving a chip that demonstrated quantum mechanical effects on a macroscopic-or human-scale-level.

2. A blast on a railway track in Sindh’s Shikarpur district, Pakistan derailed four bogies of the Jaffar Express, injuring at least seven people.

3. France’s new Prime Minister Sebastien Lecornu resigned just 14 hours after appointing his cabinet, deepening the country’s political crisis amid widespread opposition to his lineup, which angered both allies and opponents.

4. The Philippines has launched Southeast Asia’s first coral larvae cryobank to safeguard coral genetic diversity and combat reef degradation in the Coral Triangle—a global marine biodiversity hotspot. In collaboration with countries like Indonesia, Taiwan, Malaysia, and Thailand, the project uses cryopreservation, where coral larvae are frozen in liquid nitrogen (–196°C) through vitrification.

5. Iran’s parliament has approved a currency redenomination plan to remove four zeros from the rial, aiming to simplify transactions after years of hyperinflation—with rates over 35%.
