1. The World Sikh Organization (WSO) of Canada has criticised Canadian PM Mark Carney strongly for inviting Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, to the upcoming G7 Summit in Kananaskis, Alberta, calling the move a betrayal of Canadian values and Sikh concerns.
2. The 51st annual G7 Summit is scheduled from June 15 to 17, 2025, in Kananaskis, Alberta, Canada. As the event marks the G7’s golden jubilee, Canada will lead discussions on pressing issues including climate change, digital innovation, and global security.
3. The Government of Andhra Pradesh and American MNC NVIDIA have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Friday to jointly advance the establishment of a proposed Artificial Intelligence (AI) University and foster a robust AI ecosystem through skilling, research, infrastructure development, and startup acceleration.
4. External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar says recently concluded free trade agreement between India and UK will improve strategic bilateral ties and two way trade.
5. PM Modi met UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy in New Delhi yesterday. In a social media post, PM Modi appreciated his contribution to the progress in India-UK Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, which has been further strengthened by the recently concluded Free Trade Agreement.
