1. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will embark on a three day official visit to Russia and Austria. In the first leg of his visit, PM Modi will be in Moscow for the 22nd Annual Summit between India and Russia. The Prime Minister will be visiting Austria from 9th to 10th of this month at the invitation of the Chancellor of Austria. This will be the Prime Minister’s first visit to Austria.

2. A five-member Indian delegation from the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG) arrived in Colombo for a three-day visit. The delegation, led by Secretary and Director General of the National Centre for Good Governance (NCGG) Mr. V. Srinivas, will engage in discussions on capacity-building programs for Sri Lankan civil servants and the potential signing of a long-term Memorandum of Understanding for these initiatives.

3. Skyroot successfully completed the proof pressure test of the new Vikram-1’s Stage-1 hardware that will soon fly on its maiden flight. This 10-meter-long stage, named Kalam-1200, crafted with high-strength carbon fibre, will boost Vikram-1 from lift-off to above the denser atmosphere, delivering a peak thrust of 1200 kN.

4. India’s External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Saturday spoke to new Foreign Secretary of United Kingdom, David Lammy. Both the parties reaffirmed their commitment to enhance comprehensive strategic partnership.

1. 2024 FRANCE ELECTION UPDATES: Exit polls project the left-wing National Popular Front (NFP) will be the biggest party in parliament, with the far-right National Rally (RN) – which came out on top in the first round – down in third place. Prime Minister Gabriel Attal says he will offer his resignation to President Emmanuel Macron.

2. The Pakistani forces have allegedly detained 54 individuals across 12 districts of Balochistan, Pakistan in June, raising concerns about the surge in cases of enforced disappearances.

3. The representatives of the East Turkistan Government in Exile (ETGE) and Swedish Uyghur Committee (SUC) on Saturday organised protests in Amsterdam, Netherlands and Stockholm, Sweden, highlighting the atrocities of the Chinese authorities upon the Uyghur community of East Turkistan.The protests by these Uyghur rights organizations were organised on the sidelines of the commemoration of the Urumqi massacre.

4. The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) reported that Sunday morning about 20 Hezbollah terror rocket launches were detected that crossed from the territory of Lebanon into the Lower Galilee region in Israel, some of which were successfully intercepted by the IDF’s air defence units.
