1. 🇲🇻Maldives President Mohamed Muizzu landed in New Delhi on Sunday on a five-day state visit to India, aiming to repair frail ties between the two South Asian neighbours. Dr. Muizzu was received by Minister of State for External Affairs Kirti Vardhan Singh on his arrival at the airport.
2. Chief Minister Pema Khandu of Arunachal Pradesh held talks with Australian High Commissioner Philip Green in Itanagar, focusing on skill development for the state’s youth. They discussed collaboration with Australian institutions to equip the workforce in sectors like hydropower and infrastructure, ensuring sustained growth.
3. Union Minister of New and Renewable Energy, Pralhad Joshi, will embark on a three-day visit to Germany. He will also hold a series of bilateral meetings with ministers from Germany, the United Kingdom, and other senior officials to boost cooperation in sustainable development, green hydrogen, low-cost finance, and the entire renewable energy value chain. The visit aims to strengthen India-Germany relations.
4. Highlighting the recent meetings of Prime Minister Narendra Modi with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar said that PM Modi is one of the few leaders in the world today, who can engage with Moscow and Kyiv.

1. Tensions escalate along Israel-Lebanon border as conflict between Israel and Hezbollah intensifies; Worldwide Pro-Palestine demonstrations held for ending violence in Gaza and West Asia.
2. Israeli warplanes launched a series of air strikes on the Lebanese capital Beirut’s southern suburbs. The targeted areas included Amrousieh, Choueifat, Haret Hreik, and Burj al-Barajneh. Earlier, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that the Israeli army has destroyed a significant portion of Hezbollah’s missile and rocket capabilities.
3. Sri Lanka President Anura Kumara Dissanayake has announced that the investigations into the Easter Sunday attacks will be expedited. While interacting at Negombo with the families of those killed in the Easter attacks of 2019, the President said that steps will be taken to ensure that such a tragedy never occurs again in the island nation.
4. Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, awarded General Amirali Hajizadeh the Order of Fath for leading the Revolutionary Guards aerospace unit in a missile operation against Israel. The attack was in retaliation for an Israeli air strike that killed Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah and IRGC top general Abbas Nilforoushan.
