1. India on Tuesday issued an advisory for its nationals living in the border areas of Israel to relocate to safer areas within the country due to prevailing situations.
2. Maldives President Mohamed Muizzu has said that no Indian military personnel will remain in the country after May 10, be it in uniform or civilian clothing, Maldives-based The Edition reported. The removal of Indian troops from Maldives was the main election campaign of Muizzu’s party.
3. External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar who is on a visit to South Korea said that ties between India and South Korea has expanded in different sectors and the benefits are visible to both nations.
4. USA Ambassador to India, Eric Garcetti, held a meeting with International Trade Administration Assistant Secretary, Arun Venkatraman on Tuesday.Both sides discussed ways to enhance the India-US trade relationship and the critical importance of this strategic partnership.
5. Visiting Danish Parliament Speaker Soren Gade has expressed hope for an early conclusion of the India-EU Free Trade Agreement (FTA) negotiations.The EU and India had first launched negotiations for an FTA in 2007, but talks were suspended in 2013. Discussions again resumed on 17 June 2022.”
6. The second India-France Strategic Space Dialogue was held in New Delhi on Monday.The meeting was co-chaired by Foreign Secretary Vinay Kwatra on the Indian side and by Secretary General, Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Ms Anne-Marie Descotes on the French side.
7. Narendra Modi on Tuesday (Mar 5) congratulated Shehbaz Sharif on becoming Pakistan’s new prime minister.

1. Former US President Donald Trump wins Colorado ballot disqualification case in Supreme Court : The US Supreme Court delivered a significant victory to Donald Trump, overturning a judicial decision that had barred him from Colorado’s ballot. This exclusion was based on a constitutional provision related to incitement and support for the 6th of January, 2021, Capitol attack.
2. In a historic move, France became the first country in the world to enshrine the right to abortion in its constitution on 4 March 2024.
3. US officials claim that undersea cables were cut in the Red Sea on Monday affecting 25% of the data traffic between Asia and Europe. Several undersea fibre optic cables also termed as submarine internet cables have been allegedly cut by Yemen based Houthi rebels. These cables carry a significant chunk of the internet traffic between the two continents.
4. The International Criminal Court (ICC) has issued arrest warrants for top Russian commanders Sergei Kobylash and Viktor Sokolov, on Tuesday (Mar 5) over alleged war crimes that they committed in Ukraine amid the ongoing war.
