1. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will leave for Kuala Lumpur on a two day visit Malaysia. This will be the third visit of Prime Minister to Malaysia and the first after the elevation of the India-Malaysia bilateral relationship to a ‘Comprehensive Strategic Partnership’, in August 2024.

2. The 9th edition of #ParikshaPeCharcha was streamed across several schools in Sri Lanka, Nepal, Myanmar, Russia & Qatar. The events were attended by students and teachers, along with officials from the Embassy.

1. The 11th edition of the Nepal Buildcon International Expo is a four-day exhibition of building, construction, infrastructure, and design trade in Bhrikutimandap of Kathmandu that kick-started on Thursday. The Expo has brought together industry professionals, companies, and innovators from Nepal and many foreign countries like India, China, Germany, the UK and others. This expo serves as a business-to-business (B2B) platform for the building and construction industry that covers the full construction lifecycle from materials and machinery to design, technology, and services.

2. The Bangladesh Nationalist Party said its foreign policy would follow the principle of Bangladesh First if it returns to power through the upcoming national election. BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman unveiled the party manifesto, presenting a vision of an independent and self-respecting foreign policy focused on sovereignty, security and public welfare.

3. United States and Russia have agreed to re-establish high-level military dialogue for the first time in more than four years.

High-level military communication was suspended in late 2021, as tension between Moscow and Washington rose ahead of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.

4. AI-generated sexualised images of children are a form of child sexual abuse and must be criminalised, UN agency said, warning of a rapid and alarming rise in the misuse of AI tools to create abusive content.

5. Taiwan’s Ministry of National Defense (MND) has said it detected 8 sorties of Chinese military aircraft and six vessels operating around its territorial waters.

6. In Pakistan, 31 people were killed and 170 others injured in a suicide attack at a Shia religious center in the capital, Islamabad. The explosion occurred at Tarlai Imambargah in the Shehzad Town area.

7. Thirteen people were killed in an accident involving a bus carrying wedding attendees in West Nepal. The Bajhang-bound bus from Purchaidi Municipality of Baitadi in Sudurpaschim province had met with an accident at Purchaidi Badgaon Mode on Thursday.
