Polio vaccinations in Gaza

1. In a historic move to strengthen Indian education in the UAE, the Central Board of Secondary Education has launched its first Regional Office and Centre of Excellence outside India, situated in Dubai.

2. The Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the UAE Accountability Authority during a bilateral meeting with the President of the UAE Accountability Authority. During the signing ceremony, CAG Girish Chandra Murmu said that this MoU is a testament to the shared values and goals of our institutions and reinforces the strong ties between India and the UAE.

3. India and Singapore have exchanged four Memorandums of Understanding for cooperation in the fields of health and medicine, education and skill development, digital technologies, and the India-Singapore Semiconductor Ecosystem Partnership.

4. Prime Minister Modi has left for India after his successful visit of Singapore.

5. 🇷🇺Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Thursday that 🇮🇳India, 🇨🇳China and 🇧🇷Brazil could mediate in potential peace talks over 🇺🇦Ukraine.

1. The 🇫🇷French President Emmanuel Macron has named Michel Barnier as Prime Minister almost two months after France’s snap elections ended in political deadlock. Mr Barnier is a former chief Brexit negotiator of the European Union and a veteran of the right-wing Republicans party.

2. The Sri Lanka, Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena launched a new political alliance, Podujana Eksath Nidahas Peramuna, in Colombo. Several MPs from Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna as well as from other parties who have expressed support to President Ranil Wickremesinghe at the forthcoming presidential election participated at the launch event.

3. The first phase of Polio vaccinations in Gaza’s central zone has reached 187,000 children. In a social media post, World Health Organisation Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said.

4. In the United States, at least four people were killed and several others injured in a shooting at Apalachee High School in Winder, Georgia. Authorities report that nine people were injured and a suspect is in custody. It is unclear if the shooter was a student at the school.

5. China’s National Meteorological Centre (NMC) today issued a red alert for Typhoon Yagi, which is expected to bring strong winds and heavy rain to the country’s southern regions.
