1. Bhutan’s King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck and Queen Jetsun Pema Wangchuck meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi.

2. The India-Bhutan Agreement on Trade, Commerce and Transit establishes a free trade regime between the two countries. The Agreement also provides for duty free transit of Bhutanese exports to third countries. India is Bhutan’s top trade partner both as an import source and as an export destination.

3. The 29th CII Partnership Summit took place in New Delhi and External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar represented India at this event. He engaged with various international ministers and leaders. The summit focused on India’s growth and potential global collaborations.

4. India and the UK recently convened the second 2+2 Foreign and Defence Dialogue in New Delhi, aimed to enhance their Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.

5. Russian President Vladimir Putin lauds Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government for creating stable conditions for small and medium-sized enterprises through ‘Make In India’.

6. India and Kuwait took a significant step to strengthen bilateral relations by deciding to establish a Joint Commission for Cooperation (JCC) at the level of foreign ministers. The JCC will serve as an umbrella mechanism to comprehensively review and monitor all aspects of govt.

1. Indian tourist in Dhaka assaulted with knife for religious identity: Bangladesh is currently experiencing unrest, with Hindu minorities facing attacks and temples being vandalized.

2. The UN has said, it would want that a full investigation is done into the killing of a US-Turkish woman in the West Bank during a protest. An American activist, Aysenur Ezgi Eygi was killed after she was hit by a bullet in head while participating in a protest in the town of Beita in West Bank’s Nablus district.

3. Ousted Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has mounted a stinging attack on the country’s interim leader Muhammad Yunus over persecution of minorities in Bangladesh.
