1. External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar said India and Australia have witnessed an enormous deepening and diversification of bilateral cooperation. Speaking at an event commemorating five years of India-Australia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in New Delhi.

2. Out of seven multi-party delegations carrying the message of India’s principled and resolute stand against terrorism, five delegations have now returned to India after concluding their successful visit to respective countries. During the visit, the delegations engaged with foreign leaders, senior officials, influential think tanks, media, and the Indian diaspora as part of their international outreach.

3. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh held a bilateral meeting with Australian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Defence Richard Marles in New Delhi. During the discussions, both leaders strongly condemned the recent terror attack in Pahalgam.

4. PM Modi and Australian Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister Richard Marles today exchanged ideas to further strengthen the India-Australia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.

5. India has won the presidency of the International Institute of Administrative Sciences (IIAS) in the election, which was held between India and Austria. India’s candidacy received widespread support from across the membership with 87 votes out of 141 votes.

6. PM Modi congratulates Lee Jae-Myung on being elected as South Korean President.

7. Union Minister of Ports, Shipping and Waterways Sarbananda Sonowal held bilateral meetings with Norway’s Transport Minister Jon-Ivar Nygård as well as with Minister of Fisheries and Ocean Policy, Marianne Sivertsen on the sidelines of the Nor-Shipping event in Oslo.

1. United Arab Emirates and the World Health Organization have launched a comprehensive humanitarian initiative to combat severe malnutrition affecting women and children on Yemen’s Socotra Island.

2. About 1.8 million pilgrims from across the world, including India, are converging at Mina in Saudi Arabia as the annual five-day Hajj pilgrimage began yesterday.

3. Japan introduced law aimed at encouraging artificial intelligence (AI) research and development. This legislation, known as the Act on the Promotion of Research, Development and Utilisation of Artificial Intelligence-Related Technologies, seeks to position Japan as a leader in the global AI landscape.
