1. 🇩🇪Germany has officially invited India to join the Eurodrone project as an observer, a decision announced during the recent India-Germany Intergovernmental Consultations held in New Delhi. This initiative allows India to closely monitor the Eurodrone program, which is a collaborative effort involving Germany, France, Italy, and Spain aimed at developing a medium-altitude long-endurance unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) system.

2. Armenia is actively negotiating with India for the procurement and modernization of its military capabilities, particularly focusing on the Sukhoi Su-30 fighter jets and advanced missile systems. This strategic move comes in the wake of Armenia’s ongoing security challenges, particularly its tensions with Azerbaijan over the Nagorno-Karabakh region.

3. Brazil has officially decided not to join China’s Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), marking a significant shift in its foreign policy and becoming the second BRICS nation, after India, to abstain from this major infrastructure project. This decision was announced by Celso Amorim, Brazil’s special presidential adviser for international affairs.

The chief of Bangladesh’s top business body, the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI), has stated that trade relations with India will not be adversely affected in the long term. This assertion comes amid ongoing political tensions and changes in Bangladesh’s leadership.

5. The Republic of Fiji has bestowed its highest civilian award, the “Honourary Officer of the Order of Fiji,” on Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. This recognition, presented by Fiji’s President, Ratu Wiliame M. Katonivere, acknowledges Sri Sri’s contributions to promoting peace, unity, and uplifting communities globally.

1. Lahore in 🇵🇰Pakistan has once again been designated as the most polluted city in the world, with its Air Quality Index (AQI) reaching an alarming level of 708 on 29 October 2024.

2. World Cities Day, celebrated annually on October 31, spotlights the successes of urbanization and addresses the challenges arising from rapid urban growth. The day was initiated by the United Nations General Assembly in 2013 to encourage a global dialogue on sustainable urban development.

3. Israel parliament Knesset has passed a law banning the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) for Palestine Refugees in the Near East from operating in Israel.
