1. President Smt Droupadi Murmu will embark on a four-day state visit to Portugal and Slovakia from 7th of this month.
2. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will embark on a two-day visit to Thailand to participate in the 6th BIMSTEC Summit. This will be the Prime Minister’s third visit to Thailand after 2016 and 2019.
3. Parliament has passed the Immigration and Foreigners Bill, 2025 with the Rajya Sabha approving it. It repeals the Passport (Entry into India) Act, 1920, the Registration of Foreigners Act, 1939, the Foreigners Act, 1946, and the Immigration (Carriers’ Liability) Act, 2000.

1. In Japan, a strong earthquake measuring 6.0 on the Richter Scale struck Kyushu region yesterday at 7:34 PM (IST). According to the National Center for Seismology (NCS), the earthquake occurred at a depth of 30 kilometers.
