1. Russian Minister Sergey Lavrov has announced that a visit by President Vladimir Putin to New Delhi is being planned for December 2025.The statement was made on the sidelines of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York.

1. Türkiye and the United States signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Strategic Civil Nuclear Cooperation during a White House meeting between President Erdogan and former U.S. President Donald Trump.
2. Several Bangladeshis led a protest outside the United Nations headquarters in New York on Friday against chief adviser of the Bangladesh government Muhammad Yunus. The Bangladeshi diaspora members were supporters of the ousted PM Sheikh Hasina.
They raised slogans of “Yunus is Pakistani. Go back to Pakistan”, alleging that minorities, including Hindus and people of other religions, in Bangladesh were facing atrocities.
3. The United Nations has reimposed economic and military sanctions on Iran, 10 years after they were lifted under the 2015 nuclear deal. The UK, France and Germany triggered the deal’s snapback mechanism, citing Iran’s continued nuclear escalation and lack of cooperation. The move follows Iran’s suspension of inspections after Israeli and U.S. airstrikes on its nuclear and military sites in June.
