1. India commenced Operation Sagar Bandhu, aimed at providing relief materials and vital Humanitarian Assistance and Relief (HADR) support to the Cyclone Ditwah-hit Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka has been dealing with the natural calamity for the past few days, killing 61 people and leaving 25 missing in the island nation.
2. Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed condolences to the people of Sri Lanka who lost their loved ones due to Cyclone Ditwah.
3. India and Germany have unequivocally condemned terrorism, in all its forms and manifestations, including cross border terrorism.
