1. PM Modi to embarked on a two-nation visit to Japan and China; To take part in 15th India-Japan Annual Summit in Tokyo today.

2. India and Bangladesh have agreed to intensify joint efforts to combat trans-border crimes by enhancing vigilance, increasing coordinated patrols, and sharing real-time intelligence. The commitment was made in a joint statement issued after a four-day Director General-level border conference held at Border Guard Bangladesh’s Pilkhana Headquarters in Dhaka.

3. Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) has signed a 15-year Sales and Purchase Agreement with Indian Oil Corporation to supply one million tonnes per annum of liquefied natural gas from its lower-carbon Ruwais LNG project.

4. The new chancery premises of the Consulate General of India in Seattle have been officially inaugurated by India’s Ambassador to the United States, Vinay Kwatra. The ceremony, held on 27 Aug, it was attended by Washington State Governor Bob Ferguson, U.S. Senator Maria Cantwell, and Seattle Mayor Bruce Harrell.

5. India-Africa trade has surpassed USD 100 billion in 2024-25, marking significant growth from USD 56 billion in 2019-20, with India emerging as one of the top-five investors in Africa.

6. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation has given a six-month extension till 28 February 2026 to IndiGo to operate two leased Boeing 777 aircraft from Turkish Airlines with certain conditions.

1. In US, Donald Trump administration has approved the sale of 3,350 Extended Range Attack Munitions (ERAM) missiles to Ukraine, providing a potentially powerful tool to Kyiv as it continues to face a relentless assault by Russia.

2. The Australian government has announced that it will cut another 500 tariffs, which it describes as nuisance tariffs, as part of a push to encourage free trade.
