1. NASA Administrator Bill Nelson will travel to India this week and hold talks with Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) officials on a joint mission to the International Space Station (ISS) in 2024.

2. Foreign Secretary Vinay Kwatra on Sunday discussed with Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian in Tehran ways to boost connectivity through strategic Chabahar port and the current situation in West Asia arising out of the Hamas-Israel conflict.

3. More than 18 years after India and the US signed a civil nuclear deal, its full potential and promise along with the larger bilateral partnership is yet to be realised.

The 123 Agreement signed between the United States of America and the Republic of India is known as the U.S.–India Civil Nuclear Agreement or Indo-US nuclear deal. The framework for this agreement was a July 18, 2005, joint statement by then Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and then U.S. President George W.

4. A major rescue operation is underway after a cargo ship carrying 14 crew members including Indian crew members, sank off the coast of Lesbos island in Greece due to high-speed winds.

5. A group of Khalistani supporters tried to heckle India’s Ambassador to the U.S., Taranjit Singh Sandhu, at a gurdwara in Long Island in New York on Sunday.

6. India Builds High Impact Community Development Projects in Kapilvastu, 🇳🇵Nepal.

The Government of India grant under ‘Nepal-India Development Cooperation’ was utilized for the construction of a double storied school building, three storied lab building and for procurement of furniture and lab equipment. The project was taken up as a High Impact Community Development Project (HICDP), under an agreement between Government of India and Government of Nepal.

1. CHRISTOPHER LUXON has been sworn in as New Zealand’s prime minister today. The swearing-in ceremony was presided over by Governor-General Cindy Kiro.

The Palestinian militant group Hamas attacked Israel on Oct 7, killing around 1,200 people, injuring thousands, and taking over 200 people as hostages back to Gaza.

4. UK’s health agency said they have detected the first human case of a swine flu strain similar to one that has been circulating in pigs.

5. Elon Musk, the billionaire entrepreneur and owner of social media platform X (formerly Twitter) has said that he wants to ‘help’ destroy Hamas.

6. Yemen govt calls for global designation of Houthis as terrorist organization following ship attacks.

Recently Houthis launch two ballistic missiles at American destroyer USS Mason after it had intervened to prevent attempted hijacking of Israeli-linked tanker Central Park.

7. US 🇺🇸 President Joe Biden will not attend the U.N. climate summit in Dubai this week.
