1. The One Big Beautiful Bill Act of 2025 (OBBBA) has recently passed in the US House of Representatives.
The OBBB consists of five main components. (a) It extends and makes permanent the income tax and estate tax cuts initiated in 2017.
(b) It introduces new tax reductions on overtime, tips, and social security incomes. The White House claims that Americans earning between $30,000 and $80,000 will see a 15% tax cut next year.
(c) The bill allocates increased funding for border security and military improvements.
(d) It aims to reduce waste, fraud, and abuse in government spending.
(e) It proposes raising the debt ceiling, allowing the government to borrow more to meet its financial obligations.

India, Pakistan, and other Asian countries will sight the moon on May 28, potentially celebrating Eid on June 7 or 8.
