1. External Affairs Minister Dr. S Jaishankar held a meeting with US Secretary Antony Blinken in Washington DC. In a social media post, Dr. Jaishankar said that the meeting reviewed the advancement of India and USA partnership over the last four years.
External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar also met with U.S. National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan in Washington, D.C., on 26 December 2024. This meeting is part of Jaishankar’s six-day visit to the United States, which runs from December 24 to December 29.
2. Director General of the World Health Organisation (WHO), Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, has said the negotiation over the release of 13 UN staff arrested by the Houthi group in the Yemeni capital Sanaa has concluded.

5. Terrorist Hafiz Abdul Rehman Makki, a prominent figure in the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorist organization and involved in the 2008 Mumbai attacks, passed away on 27 December 2024, due to a heart attack in Lahore, Pakistan.
