1. Delhi government has extended the deadline for the Pakistani nationals whose visa has been suspended after the Pahalgam terror attack, from 26th April to 29th April.
2. A total of 191 Pakistani nationals visiting India returned home through the Attari-Wagah land route in Punjab’s Amritsar yesterday. It comes after the Centre set a 48-hour deadline for them to leave the country in the wake of the Pahalgam terror attack.
3. 14 Tamil Nadu Fishermen Released from Sri Lankan Prisons Arrive in Chennai. They were arrested by the Sri Lankan Navy for trespassing into the international waters on 17th and 26th March this year.
4. External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar discussed the importance of countering terrorism resolutely with his Egyptian counterpart Dr. Badr Abdelatty over phone.
5. The UN Security Council has strongly condemned the terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam. In a statement, Council members emphasised that terrorism is a major threat to global peace and must be fought in all its forms.
6. Prime Minister Narendra Modi yesterday paid tributes to Pope Francis. PM Modi said the world will always remember his service to society. Pope Francis, the head of the worldwide Roman Catholic Church, laid to rest at the Basilica of Saint Mary Major in Rome yesterday.
7. Union Jal Shakti Minister CR Patil has emphasised the importance of suspending the Indus Waters Treaty of 1960 with Pakistan. He asserted that the government will ensure that not even a single drop of water from the Indus River reaches Pakistan.
8. The Kailash Manasarovar Yatra organised by Ministry of External Affairs is set to take place during June to August this year. Ministry of External Affairs said, this year, five batches, each consisting of 50 Yatris, and 10 batches, each consisting of 50 Yatris, are scheduled to travel through Uttarakhand State crossing over at Lipulekh Pass, and through Sikkim State crossing over at Nathu La Pass, respectively.

7. U.S. President Donald Trump has said that Russia and Ukraine are very close to a deal on ending conflict between the two countries. President Trump’s remarks came following a meeting between his envoy, Steve Witkoff, and Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow.
