1. G Balasubramanian, a 1998 Indian Foreign Service officer, has been appointed as the next High Commissioner of India to the Maldives. Currently serving as the High Commissioner of India to the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

2. Dinesh Bhatia has been appointed as India’s next ambassador to Brazil. Bhatia is a seasoned diplomat from the Indian Foreign Service (IFS) of the 1992 batch.

3. External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar inaugurated the new Chancery of the Indian Embassy in Rome on 24 November 2024. This event marks a pivotal moment in the strengthening of bilateral ties between India and Italy, reflecting their historical and cultural connections.

4. EAM Jaishankar Says India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor ‘Can Be A Game Changer ‘ : External Affairs Minister S. Chinmoy Krishna Das Brahmachari, a prominent Hindu monk and leader of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) in Bangladesh, was arrested on 25 November 2024, by the Dhaka Police’s Detective Branch at the airport. His detention occurred shortly after he led a significant protest rally in Rangpur on November 22, which condemned the rising violence against Hindus.

2. Families of abducted individuals in Balochistan have staged protests against the Pakistani security forces, highlighting ongoing human rights violations and the issue of enforced disappearances.

3. Israel has intensified its military operations in Gaza, targeting Hamas militants involved in the October 7 massacre that initiated the ongoing conflict.In a recent airstrike conducted by the Israeli Air Force in Beit Lahia, northern Gaza, five Hamas militants were killed, including two company commanders: Jihad Mahmoud Yahya Kahlout and Muhammad Riyad Ali Uqal.
